Meridian Window Systems, a division of ARI-Materials, was created specifically for the dealer channel throughout North America. Behind it sits thirty-five years of importing — of learning which factory does which thing well, what a written specification is actually worth when nobody is standing on the line, and how a window that looked right on paper behaves after two summers in Phoenix.
That experience is the product. Meridian builds across a controlled network: our own plant, plus partner plants selected for what each one does best. Every series is built to Meridian’s specification and inspected to Meridian’s standard, wherever it is made.
Three series sit under the Meridian name. They share a frame philosophy, a glazing standard and a warranty. Where they part company is the job itself — the bid you have to win, the drawing nobody else will build, or the label the plan checker is going to ask for.
Every Meridian window is made to your openings. The series decides the specification — never the size.
Every step from Horizon to Summit is a materially better window — more glass, better hardware, tighter performance. None of the three is a compromise. Each is built for a different job.
Horizon is the answer when the number decides the job — without giving up the window. It is not a lesser window: the same thermally broken aluminum, the same all-tempered glazing, the same Low-E and the same build discipline as the rest of the line. The specification is simply chosen with the budget in the room, which is a very different thing from cutting corners.
What does not change is the service. Horizon is made to your openings exactly like every other Meridian product. There is no standard-size catalog to design around, and no upcharge for the window your elevation actually needs. That is unusual at this end of the market, and it is the reason Horizon wins bids that a catalog line cannot.
Built for semi-custom homes and higher-end multifamily — the work where the specification still matters but the bid sheet is the conversation.
Ascent is built on our own line, in our own factory, to our own profiles — to your exact dimensions, shapes and configurations.
That is the whole point of owning a plant. A catalog can only sell you what is in the catalog. Ascent starts from the drawing instead: the opening you have, the sightline you want, the configuration the elevation actually calls for. Non-standard is the normal order here, not an exception somebody has to approve.
It is also a heavier, more substantial window — thicker glass, a warm-edge spacer, and the tolerances of a line we run ourselves rather than one we manage but do not own. Owning the plant is also why, when nobody else will build it, we can.
Summit is the window you specify when the performance has to be proven rather than asserted.
Every Summit product is NFRC-certified — tested to NFRC 100 and NFRC 200 by an accredited independent laboratory and listed in the NFRC Certified Products Directory with a CPD number a plan checker can look up. The label matches the directory entry, and in a market where a great many labels do not survive that check, that is the whole difference. Summit meets California Title 24, and it is the only Meridian series that can be specified where an NFRC-certified label is required.
It is the best-performing window we build, and its U-factors are the lowest in the line by a wide margin — 0.22 on a fixed unit against 0.33 for the same unit in Ascent — which is worth specifying in Texas and Arizona long before anyone asks for a certificate.
